Does anyone have any experience with “the main ingredients” brand? Since it is on sale and I have a gift card I can get it for under 100 dollars.
Do you think it is a good starter set? I only own a skillet and one cheap big pot. Should I go for this one? Or try a cheaper route.
Any one with any alternative suggestions is welcome too!

Stainless steel will probably be pretty good even if it is not a good brand. However, if you’re just starting out, I highly recommend an inexpensive non-stick set. It can be very difficult to clean and maintain stainless cookware if you’re a novice cook, so a cheap nonstick set will get you through the first few years until you’re ready for something like this.

I’d get it, it’s perfectly adequate for day to day cooking and you don’t want to go much cheaper or you’d be seriously compromising on quality.

WOw this looks great! If possible try to find out if the pots are somewhat heavy. Heavy pans are good for cooking.
