Philippe Richard cookware rusting?

03 Jun

I got married in July and received a Philippe Richard knife set along with a cookware set and both are already rusting.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Does anyone know how I can contact the company?

Do you think they will do anything about it if I contact them?

Help please, thanks!

What type of cookware to buy?

01 Jun

I am trying to decide what kind of cookware set to buy. I don’t want to spend a lot (no more than $150, at most) and it doesn’t have to be the best, but I want a decent set that will last. I am looking at a KitchenAid Gourmet Reserved set for $129.99 (ceramic and aluminum) at amazon but I am clueless about what I really need. I cook often and I have an electric stove. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

In my wedding registry what cookware set should I choose?

31 May

I definitely want Calphalon. But should I go with the Stainless Steel which is so pretty, or the anodized aluminum that has the nonstick coating?

I have never cooked with pans without the nonstick coating before, what should I expect if I do go with the stainless? Any reviews on the cookware sets?

how do I clean an expensive set of Wolfgang Pluck stainless steel cookware?

Where can I find the best price for enamelled cast iron cookware? But still retaining quality?

How to Season Cast Iron Cookware?

30 May

I know hardly anybody uses cast iron cookware, but it is my prefered choice when cooking. I first got them when I moved into my apartment and my grandma gave me her old cookware. I need to know how to season them. It seems like everything sticks to the cookware! I’ve had it for a while and the constant sticking is getting annoying.

How can I make cheap cookware (pots & pans) last longer?

29 May

I use to have a nice cookware set from JC Penny I had purchased for about $200, but due to a lot of moving I had to get rid of this set, so now that I am needing a new set I just went to Target and bought a cheap set for about $25. I want to know how I can get the most use out of them? What should the temperature be on the stove when I use them? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

What is your favorite type of cookware?

I want to buy a new cookware set and I was looking at the Rachael Ray set. Have you used it? I also am interested in the Kitchenaid set. What type of cookware do you prefer?

What causes the “pitting” in stainless steel cookware?

28 May

I have both mixing bowls and cookware made of stainless steel. Both of these show dark pitted areas. I don’t cook with the mixing bowls and have never hit or damaged either one. Is it the type of food used in them, like acidic items? I am sure it is the quality of the product, but how do you tell when buying?

Why do professional chefs use stainless steel cookware if they’re so difficult to clean?

28 May

I’m looking to get a cookware set and wondering why I should/should not get non-stick, but I also want to do things right.

Thanks
whenever i’ve used stainless steel the food always sticks to it
